Tech Goes Downtown

My latest for theĀ Globe op-ed page unpacks the lessons from Don Chiofaro’s recent coup — netting eBay’s PayPal unit for his Financial District tower. Sprawling, loft-like spaces downtown are the new South Boston lofts, and International Place, which was in the boonies of downtown when it was built, is suddenly sitting at Boston’s new center of gravity. Shambles

After losing a few versions of this website to hacks and attempts to fix hacks, I’m closing up my old wordpress.org home and porting back here, onto wordpress.com. Lots of content is getting buried and/or lost in the process. Some of it will reappear here soon, hopefully. Until then, enjoy this version of the site, revived from when it was placed into suspended animation four years ago.
